Terms of Service

Last updated June 21, 2026

These terms cover your use of The Packing Atlas. We have tried to keep them short and readable. By using the site you agree to them, so please read them, especially the travel-information disclaimer.

1. Agreement to these terms

The Packing Atlas (the “site,” “we,” “us”) is operated by us. By accessing or using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The service

The site publishes curated, country-specific packing guides and related tools (checklists, trip dates, notes, countdowns). It is free to use and is provided for general, informational purposes only. We may change, add, or remove features at any time.

3. Your account

You can use the whole site without an account. If you choose to create one, sign-in is passwordless: you receive a one-time link by email or use a passkey on your own device. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and devices secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.

4. Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully and reasonably. Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape in bulk, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site or other users’ data; do not misuse the contact form or sign-in emails; and do not use the site to violate anyone’s rights. We may limit or suspend access that does these things.

5. Your content

The trips, checklists, and notes you create are yours. When you create an account, you give us permission to store and sync that content so we can provide the service across your devices. You are responsible for the content you add, and you can delete it, or your whole account, at any time from your account settings.

6. Our content

The packing guides, text, design, and other materials on the site are owned by us or used with permission and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial travel planning. Please do not copy, republish, or resell our content without permission.

7. Travel information is not professional advice

Packing guides and travel details (including notes on visas, currency, plugs, vaccines, prices, seasons, and local customs) are general information that can change quickly and may be incomplete or out of date. They are not legal, medical, financial, or official travel advice.

Always confirm time-sensitive and important details (entry and visa requirements, health and vaccination rules, safety, and the law) with official government and provider sources before you travel. You are responsible for your own trip and decisions.

8. No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, or up to date.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Third-party links and services

The site links to outside resources (such as official pages and travel services) and relies on third-party providers to operate. We are not responsible for the content, products, or privacy practices of those third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the site at any time and delete your account from your account settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or where we reasonably need to. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as our content, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be made clear here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Where required, mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
